BIOGRAFÍA DE GEMA LUMBRERAS
Nace en Madrid. Inicia sus estudios de Bellas Artes, licenciándose en 1991, por la especialidad de Grabado, en la Universidad Complutense de Madrid, otorgándole el diploma de honor como merecedora de uno de los diez mejores expedientes académicos de su promoción.
En 1996 aprueba las oposiciones de secundaria, trabajando actualmente como profesora de Dibujo en el Instituto de Secundaria Infanta Elena de Galapagar en Madrid.
En su faceta artística la pintura realizada en sus inicios, bodegones y muebles, está cargada de materia en su elaboración evolucionando hacia una abstracción, dónde el collage es el protagonista principal.
El trabajo con volumen de sus cuadros hace que se decante por la escultura donde trabaja en una serie de relieves dedicados al libro, cargados de un gran contenido simbólico, investigando con diferentes materiales y cargas. Complementa la escultura con el grabado, del que nunca se ha desvinculado.
Realiza diferentes exposiciones de pintura y grabado, tanto individuales como colectivas, en centros de arte de la Comunidad de Madrid, destacando la realizada en 2005 en la galería Kreisler de Madrid, y la colaboración, en la actualidad, con Tarlatana Espacio de Arte en Ávila.
Desde Junio de 2017 es miembro de la asociación de escultores Mínimo Tamaño Grande.
GEMA LUMBRERAS´ BIOGRAPHY
Born in Madrid in 1967. She started her studies in Fine Arts, graduating in 1991, for the specialty of Engraving, at the Complutense University of Madrid, awarding her the honor diploma as deserving of one of the ten best academic records of his promotion.
In 1996, she passed secondary school competitions, currently working as a drawing teacher at the Infanta Elena High School in Galapagar, Madrid.
In its artistic facet the painting realized in its beginnings, still life and furniture, is loaded with matter in its elaboration evolving towards an abstraction, where the collage is the main protagonist.
The work with volume of her paintings makes her decide for the sculpture where she works in a series of reliefs dedicated to the book, loaded with a great symbolic content, investigating with different materials and loads. She complements the sculpture with the engraving, of which she has never been unlinked.
She performs different exhibitions of painting and engraving, both individual and collective, in art centers of the Community of Madrid, highlighting the one realized in 2005 in the gallery Kreisler of Madrid, and the collaboration, at present, with Tarlatana Space of Art in Ávila .
She has been a member of the association of scupltors Mínimum Sice Large since June 2017
